WTB: 2000-2005 205V (205V, X-Star, X-2)
I'm looking for a 2000-2005 205V. I actually prefer a true 205V over an X-Star or X-2, but would still be interested in an X-Star/X-2 205V as well. I have money in hand and ready to buy. I'm located in Georgia, but would travel for the right boat. Thanks!

Someone sell me their 205V!
![]() This is the exact boat I wish I could find. I just think they look so much better than the X-Star/X-2/X-1 205V's... http://mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=52844 Last edited by FLY6584; 02-25-2013 at 08:23 PM. |

Guessing its the lack of graphics that appeal to you

Exactly. I really like the classic look of the 205V's. I used to own a 2003 lime green X-2 and loved the boat, but didn't care for the flashy color or graphics. I'd still buy another one, but if I had the choice I would prefer the 205V.

The funny thing is I'm only 28 years old, but still really prefer the classic look. |

This was my 2003 X-2. It had 280 freshwater hrs on it and I only paid $10,000 for it. I put a little money in it to clean it up because it was a lift kept neglected boat and bought a trailer for it, but I had a guy offer me $25k cash on the spot for it and couldn't pass it up at the time so I sold it. I will say the green eventually grew on me and I really liked the boat though. I bought a 99 Super Air Nautique after the X-2 for $13.5k and really loved the wake on that boat, but it was ejected from the trailer following a super bad wreck so now I'm in the market for a new boat. lol

Yeah I'm amazed at how well these boats hold their value. I'm just having a hard time spending anymore than $25k on a boat like this after I spent $10k on a 2003 X-2 and $13.5k on a 99 Super Air Nautique 210. I know I've had pretty good luck finding some deals, but I can find plenty of Super Air's for under $25k so if I have to I'll just buy another one of those.

...but yes I do not expect to find another deal like either of those deals, but I'll be hard-pressed to spend over $25k for a 10+ year old boat in an economy like this.
