Agreed. An MCX in CO just isn't going to cut it with that big of a boat. I have the 8.1L in my X-30 and I'm at sea level (Seattle). It's just enough power.

Let me add that you boat is beautiful and would be great with the MCX at a lower altitude.

I'm re-investigating a SC for my 07 MCX but no body makes one for a DTS model :^( not even Whipple

Contact Jeff Knight at Texas Mastercraft Service Department and Allen Tehan with Indmar. Not sure if Allen is still with Indmar or not. They will be able to helpwith questions. Jeff installed one for me on the LQ9 6.0 and Allen reprogrammed the ECM.

The MCX is actually just fine in Durango (6800 ft). It's all about the prop selection! You guys know that....Of course the bigger engine is nice but for the money ($59,995) the mcx with the right prop is just perfect.

Yes, the boat was purchased new at TX MC.....they know the boat and have serviced. It's perfect. They are good friends of mine and can vouch for its condition as well as how I treat my stuff...
