Bimini help please

I am wanting to purchase and install a bimini top on 1990 tristar 190 before the summer. I have a flyhigh pole with with the horizontal fligh high board rack. I have searched on here and google for details on how to make a bimini work with the pole. I have seen that some people suggest getting a zipper from front to middle of the bimini installed. I cant find any close up pictures of this so I don't really understand how it works. Isn't there a metal beam that goes from side to side in the front of the bimini?

I take the pole down after each day on the lake because I store my boat in my garage. So I guess my question is how exactly do you get the pole and the bimini to work together? Can the bimini go from the folded back position to the up position with the pole and board rack installed?

I'm sorry if this isn't clear or has been covered. If anyone has some pictures, that would help. Thanks so much.

This is the bimini I am looking at. Not sure which fabric to get. Boat is always garage kept so don't know if I should pay the 100 dollars more for better fabric or just get the white 14oz vinyl.

If the bimini is mounted above your center pylon. Just put a 6-8 in zipper where the extended pylon
would go through the bimini...pretty simple!

You will need to insert the pylon in through the zipper from the top down. Or if it is a 2 piece
one you can leave the base on the pylon

Thats what mine would look like. Unfortunately I have the one piece pole with the board rack. I'm only 5'7". I can't imagine being able to lift the pole high enough to drop it through the zipper hole in the bimini top. I would probably destroy something. Its awkward enough lifting it high enough to slide over the factory pylon haha.

the board rack is like 4 feet wide so that wouldnt work either. guess I should have just saved money for a tower or two piece pole. I mean if i stood on the engine box I could put the pole through the top but im afraid to stand on that. Was always told you shouldnt sit or stand on the engine cover. Anyone personally own a one piece fly high with rack and use a bimini top?

How tall is your Bimini? I have a two piece BI, but it can't be that much heavier. I would say it isn't a pleasure to perform, but can easily manage it. I regularly go on two week trips, removing and replacing it daily.

Well I havn't bought one yet but the one I'm looking at says it is 30" in height. If I would guess I would say that my one piece pole with rack are probably 50 lbs ish. But all the weight is up top with rack so holding it from the bottom and trying to lift it high is very sketchy. I'll give it a shot, nothing to lose!

Put a towel on the engine box and stand on it and lower the pole through the bimini. I do it every time to put the speaker box and rack section on my skylon. The top section weighs at least 50#.

I would not waste money on a tower.......
