Boat cover stolen/missing- Decision time for new cover
(08 X2 )Went and picked up the boat from storage a few days ago and the boat cover is gone. I was never really happy with the way the factory cover kept the rain out but it looked great. Been looking at some of the aftermarket/ custom ones online but it is hard to get a feel for how they really look and fit by pics. I would like to keep the price lower than the MC cover. Ideally a used one would be great if the price was right. Any thoughts or experiences with you boat covers would be great. Right now it has an old (Malibu) canvas cover on it it looks like hell.

Take a look on ebay...Several years ago I was able to win an auction for a brand new MC cover for my boat for under $100. Mine is made by Great Lakes Canvas, has held up pretty well.

Skiboatcovers.com is where I got mine last year. Fits good and I love the sunbrella fabric.

Very happy with my Westland "exact fit" cover for 8 years now. http://www.westlandcovers.com/index.php?page=products
Sunbrella for sure and buy a vented pole mount to make sure the rear and possibly the bow are tight and tented. Have a canvas shop punch a hole and ideally sew a reinforcement piece underneath The full cover is great for stationary storage. I would never trailer with it. If covered trailering is in your plans, a shop will likely have to custom make a cover due to snap placement. I waited several years and a couple rainy pulls that lead to interior cleanings before pulling the trigger on a mooring cover too. It is truely awsome while trailering or for an overnight on the water to keep dew, bugs and wandering eyes out. |

I need a cover for my 190. I am leaning towards an Evolution. I like that it does not have poles and straps. Thoughts anyone?

Curious....without poles how does it keep the rain from puddling in the flat areas?
