Platform bolts loose in hole
What has been best practice to restore fit in swim platform bolt holes. Two are stripped and others are close to same. Plastic inserts? Epoxy? Need guidance. Thanks

You need to get in inside the bulkhead behind the stern and strengthen the joint. What year boat - post pic's please... Lot of stress on holes and bolts so it needs to be done from the inside ...IMO

Yes is 83 S+S. Looked at comprehensive repair thread. Engine out for power upgrade. Will remove fuel tank and open floor to bolster from backside. Need to maintain easy removability so will probably do weldnut style backplate. Anyone use powdercoated steel ilo. aluminum?
