That is not a Jeep...that is a grocery getter with some mud tires...maybe you can claim you can drive it to work and then go rock crawling after work...not a Jeep in my opinion...doesn't look yellow to me.

What is that sitting on? That frame doesn't look jeep. I was thinking the Cherokee was a unibody.

They are both unibody, neither have been set on a frame of any kind, the red one was stock unibody only plated where I cracked the unibody around the steering box mount, pretty common on XJ's.
The black one is a plated unibody from about the forward leaf spring mount on the rear to the very front. What may be a little confusing is that the XJ came with coil spring front suspension, and both of these Jeeps are leaf front, the red one uses the lower control arm mounts for rear leaf spring mounts and shackles are attached to the bumper. The black one I welded some spring mounts near the location the lower link mounts would have been, then I welded a cross member to the front for support and shackle mounts. Using YJ leafs on the front of an XJ stretches the front axle forward. I also put Dodge Durango springs on the rear which pushes the rear axle aft , so basically the black one has nearly the same wheel base as a JK Unlimited I am right at 115". My wheeling buddies sometimes give me a hard time because I am old school and love my leaf springs, one thing I can say is it may not ride as good as theirs but my springs are really predictable when I am off camber.
