2008 Prostar 197 - Gauges Not Working

2008 Prostar 197 TT - All the gauges except Perfect Pass quit working. The switches (blower, nav lights, etc.) also not working. Checked grounds under dash and everything looks good. Any ideas?

Was the battery disconnected recently then hooked back up? If so check to make sure all the power and grounds are hooked back up. Sounds crazy but this is often the source of these problems. If not check to see if the CB on the engine tripped. After that the options get worse with the MDC looking to be the culprit.

Also does the boat start? If so do you hear/see the gauges make an effort to boot (buzzing sound/needles shaking on the pegs)? If not we're back to ground/power and them MDC.

Same problem with my 06 with MCX. Every now and then they kick on for about 10 seconds and back off. Dealer says it is the module but want over $800 for it. I do here the gauges try to kick on. Not to thread jack, but is there anywhere to get the module cheaper and is it a plug and play

Had same problem on a 2004 X-30. Read several threads on the subject. Check the connection under the dash to the control module. I unplugged and replugged and everything came back on - worth a try..
