overheating issues 01 X-Star

Begin Transmission Command Defiant

Hey guys, test drove the boat this morning and found low speed overheating problems. located what I think is the impellar and can see missing vains. disconnected the 2 hoses and the bracket but it wont come loose. how do you get the bloody thing off?

If you're just replacing the impeller, you shouldn't need to remove the hosesor bracket. If you're pulling the pump completely, there are 3 machine screws holding it onto the crank pulley. Remove the 3 brass bolts(don't force them or overtighten, they'll break) and remove the plate over the pump. Use 2 small screwdrivers(it works) or get an impeller puller(better for the housing) and replace. You can use soap or Vaseline to get the impeller back in abd not dry start. Replace the gasket when you replace the impeller, they are available as a set.
