New to me 2007 X1

Pretty excited for these lakes to thaw out! 2007 X1 with 245 hours. Liked that it was bigger than my older boats, but still pretty manageable for the garage and towing. Its amazing how big the new boats are! Happy to get back into a Mastercraft!

Just the 310hp. Has heater (two outlets), Mastercraft Cruise, rear ballast, no KGB, basic board racks, bimini, think thats about it! So not completely stripped down, but not rolling in the options either.

Not mine, that's from the private party I purchased from. I'm not sure on the details, but property seemed to be a combination of the owners private residence, and a diesel repair shop, and boat was stored in an extra bay.

Welcome to the club. I have an 06 X1. Your comments are right on about the space you get compared to how they fit and tow. If I could get the bump down a little on the slalom wake it would be the perfect boat for me. Still considering a wakeplate but I'm a free skier so it isn't bothering me enough to pull the trigger. Great boat.

mccobmd,

Have you tried filling up the KGB ballast and emptying everything else or throwing a couple hundred pounds in the bow?

Yes and it does make a difference. I have a 400lb sac I put in the middle up on the seat and in the bow. We move it to the Port side when we surf. It does help a lot but it would be a lot simpler just to hit the button and put the plate down. I haven't pulled the trigger just because what you mentioned works well.
