Overhaulin' - MasterCraft Style

Ok, laugh at me if you want but here goes.

Should MasterCraft start an Overhaulin' type show for MasterCraft's?

Chip Foose had one for cars, why can't John Dorton come up with some ideas or assign someone to throw it around the office make a couple of pilot episodes?

I see all of the same boats out there with small differences. I love seeing imagination at work. You see wild cars all the time, still functional but amazing.

Some of us can barely afford to do alot of stuff, and I like it when people get things that make them happy. Besides, it would be a great way for MasterCraft to throw ideas out to the public to see if we would like them or not.

Some MasterCraft owners have older boats that are in good condition but could stand the use of some good upgrades.

Any thoughts?

If anything like this were to be bought off on by any of the TV networks. It would have to be done on a wide variety/brands of boats. In order for it to be appealing to a wide variety of viewers. IMO

You are right about that. The only thing close now is ship shape TV.

it can start with inboards with a connection with the other companies but it would be nice to see what type of things can happen, they could hire Mari-Star man to help with the Mari-Stars since he knows them in and out now.

I would say that a boat version could be interesting but to only be MC boats would be too much of a niche market, IMO.

It would be cool but other than a small group of people nobody would watch it so it wouldnt last long. but then again, the stupid shows they have on tv right now shows people will watch anything they're told to so who knows?

What about making it more of an inboards type show, how-to's about ballast, different types of wakes, new products, different towers, exploration of new things to come.......any takers?

Ship Shape used to be good about 5 years ago until he started pandering to the sponsors. Now it's mostly an infomercial.

What's needed is a show that gets back to the roots of boat maintenance, repair and upgrades.
