Black SeaDek thoughts?

Just in the process of ordering a new SeaDek pad for the platform on my x45. When I went to order I wanted a black pad with "mastercraft" in grey, but this wasn't a color option. When I contacted SeaDek they said they can do it but it's not recommended as it gets hot in the sun. Does anyone have any experience with this? I just feel like the black with grey lettering would look way sweeter then the opposite. Thoughts?

Do it, they have always been black in the past. Now I am also going thought this and Seadek told me it was because they couldn't assure that the black wouldn't shrink. I am ordering black with red logos.

Let me know if you get the red. They told me they don't do red because it quickly fades to pink - that was last year so maybe they have something new.

Mine is black and it is just fine...it doesnt get hot but it does get warm.

Really the only time I stand on it for a long period of time is when it is in the water anyways and that keeps it cool!!!

Black will look good, but hot. We went with storm grey over black. In the water is not a problem, the water will keep it cool. It's when your loading/unloading your boat and standing on the swim platform. I've used it for 2 years and love it.

I too was told to stay away from the black and went with the dark grey. I never regretted it.

The SeaDek is sooooooo much better than that rubber stuff MC used.

You guys have any info on about how long it took to receive the pad after you ordered it. For what it's worth, I didn't give a custom design, just choose a standard pattern they already had for my boat. All I have so far is a email that confirms I ordered it.

Mine was 3 weeks, but it was custom order. Not sure if a standard order would have been any quicker. She put me in que when I place the order over the phone, so I think it was more of a workload type dealy.

Love the product, no regrets.

No worries with our black deck Plenty hot here as well. They also ask me not to order black but very glad I did.
