x2 prop
im running a 13.7x17 prop on a yr2004 x2 with 350mcx. id like a bit better pullout when the ballast is full or boat loaded.. i can get mine repitched to a 16inch, my question is does anyone know how much difference this would make to the pull? its 600gbp for a new prop over here ..

I went to a 14.5x14.25 from the 13.7x17 and the difference in hole shot is significant.
Dropping the pitch 1" will help a little, but not huge I'd imagine.

with the MCX you could also look at the OJ 14.75 x 15.5. i'm running that and it's been great on my 03. thralls recommendation would also be a good choice.

i had a 14.25 X 14.0 on my 2005 XStar with MCX. i replaced the 13.7 X 17.5 and i could pull stumps out of the water with it. the 14.25 X 14.0 is the way to go if you don't mind losing a little top end. i could have cared less about going over 30 mph. i wanted a tractor that responded well at wakeboarding speeds and that prop at eric at oj's sugestion gave it to me. talk to eric at oj before you do anything however. he will set you straight then do exactly what he tells you to do and yo will never regret it.

I have the same exact boat, 2004 X-2 with the MCX. I am running the Fly-High ballast system for weight.
Talked to Eric at OJ props, and he hooked me up with the OJ XMP "EDGE" 14.25x14 prop. Huge difference out of the hole, and holds speed really well too. |

i hav an '09 x2 with a 350hp mcx. currently have a oj prop #522 14.75 x 15.5 4 blade. i only run with the ballast full and she takes off. do you run with perfect pass? if so it will restrict your take off if the kdw is set to low.

I just put an ACME 14.5 x 13.75 on my x-star and it is excellent when you're running heavy. And I also get better handling when I'm idling and/or docking.
