Prostar 205 RPM's - LT1
Hi all,
Just curious what my 1997 Prostar 205 LT1 should top out at for RPM's. It has 1:1 and the standard 3-blade prop, and 320 hours. It does around 4500 RPM's with me and one or two other people on the spotters seat which seems pretty normal. Also idles around 500-700 RPM. Does that sound right? I don't suspect anything wrong but am just curious if I should make any tune-ups. |

What has your maintenance/service schedule been? What has been serviced/replaced recently and what hasn't?

Not that any of this will solve the problem, but plugs, wires, clean the flame arrestor for a good start.

Do LT1's ever need timing adjustments like the TBI engines, or not because of the higher tech ignition system?

Should anything be done with the fuel pump?
