2004 X30 Trailer
I have a 2004 X30. My trailer only seems to be braking with one wheel. I have driven for a while and checked all four wheels and found only one to be hot and the other three rotors still have a bit of rust on them while the hot one is shiny and hot. I am assuming that my trailer has surge brakes but am not sure.
I mentioned this to my dealer last summer when i had the trailer in for a leaky oil hub and the tech said there was nothing he could see that would be causing this. I don't really want to send it back to the dealer and write a check for nothing so any help would be appreciated. |

This is a common problem with the calipers in that year model trailer. I also have an 04 X30 and had one caliper that was frozen up and not working/releasing. Contact Reliable Tool And Machine 888-347-5566. I think the man's name was Clay. He is familiar with the problem and has sent out replacement parts with no charge. Very easy to deal with.
