Concerts.............

We went to a concert last night. (Some of the kids on this site may not even know who these bands are )
At the concert were
Joan Jett, Stray cats, The pretenders, Reo Speedwagon, and ZZ top.
Good times.
Have you been to any recently?

(I am falling asleep as I type here..... .)

I saw the Smithereens last weekend. Would love to see the Pretenders. I saw the Stay Cats back in the day. Great show!

That must have been a great one!!! Reo started down here in Champaign-Urbana a couple of the guys are hometown boys!!! A close buddy of mine started rodying with Head East then went to Reo and finally to the Doobies, he went to Japan with them!!!

But concerts most recently I've gone to here have been Prince and Keith Urban!!!

"I was a roadie for the Doobies." Wasn't that a line from some movie?

I've been to lots of shows, but none lately. My half brother is a sound engineer and used to work with the ZZ guys a lot way back when and before then (first album and with Billy in the Moving Sidewalks). I also got to have a drink with Dusty at a bar in Houston called Lizards a few years ago.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

She obviously has something against the "golden arches".
There was a logo on the wall behind stage she made some "references" to. Not sure what that was all about.
She made them "cover" it before going on stage.

All those bands at the same show? Interesting, eclectic, cool. Did ZZ Top play much of their old, pre-electro/disco music?

REO Speedwagon played in our town recently. I didn't go to the show, but I was on the plane they flew in on the night before - sat next to the singer. It was a little commuter prop plane - I guess the days of flying around on a private jet are over! ("glory days...")
