trailer blowout

First time for me, and of course, happened on highway at 70 mph, 11 pm, nowhere to pull over for 2 miles. Fortunately, I have older metal fenders so no visible damage. I think it may have knocked out out the side running lights, but everything else electrical was fine.

Tip: Make sure you have a tire iron that fits your trailer lug nuts - I didn't, and the one in my wife's car was slightly oversized, had to call a friend to bring out a socket that would fit it. Fortunately not too far from home, and I had made sure the spare had air before I left.

Thank god for dual axle trailers and good friends!

I am replacing the cheap tires with Maxxis today - No cracking or unusual wear on the existing tires though. Also buying a 4 way!
