how do u figure 4,500 hours?

I think there a few school of thoughts on this, but just take this as a grain of salt.

I usually ride at 22mph ... and putt around mostly when not riding. So lets say my average speed is 20mph... my boat has 1,000 hours on it, which makes it 20,000 miles. Nothing right?

Then theres the whole single gear issue, the motor is sitting at 3,000 - 3,500 rpm while doing this average speed while our cars can upshift and rev lower.

Then there is the elements of being on the water (assuming your boat is in the water or on a lift)...

I like my theory of 1,000 hours = 20,000 miles though =D
