Thanks. I see how this works now. The adjustment is made by sliding pole up and inserting a pin which rest on top of pylon. I will order a quick release pin from mcmaster or head to ACE.

I actually found mesh sleeving over in our machine shop at work. We use it to protect machined round parts. I order stuff from mcmaster all the time for work, so I was going to add it to an order for R&D purposes

McMaster is located in Elmhurst, IL, you can always go pick up. I never ordered from them outside of work so I don't know what they charge for shipping.
