BTW the original ad owner has the mechanical knowledge to pull a motor apart and inspect it only to find he had a starter that spun the wrong way--BUT--can't make the time to install the correct starter that he has and actually make the boat run?
Their are owners out there that just want to dump the boat ( or car, atv, etc). I just picked up a 87 prostar that needs a fuel pickup (I'm also replacing the tank to eliminate a repair that still looks good, just because). It's a low hour "gem". Not perfect (it is 26 years old) but in very good condition for its age. Even though I didn't need another boat, I called on it because it appeared to be a good deal. After negotiating with him, it was apparent that any lower, he would've parted the boat out. At that point I drove 270 miles each way and now have something to keep me busy for a couple of weekends. It also needs one rocker switch, a exhaust flapper and a wax job. Can't wait!
