So, again, anyone, please excuse my extreme gnorance. Answers/confirmations to the following questions/assumptions are surely obvious to everyone on TeamTalk, but I'm a true newbie to ski-boating...
Skiing - low or minimal wake desired?
Wakeboarding - that's where you're on your knees and strapped to a short surfboard, and high or max. wake is desired to do tricks/flips?
Surfing - you twist, turn and hop while riding the top of the water curled up on your back (no board/ski of any kind)? Max. wake is desired to do tricks/flips?
