Haha well I've done almost everything to the boat myself. This was one thing I have never done. I prob can do it just the first time is a little intimidating I guess once I tore into I believe I would have to call myself a chicken for doubting myself I guess. Good to hear. Not rocket science, just difficult given the location/position. Also, don't forget to protect the dripless unit from the splines on the shaft as you slide it over the shaft. From other posts that I read you do this by putting some (electrical) tape over the section of the shaft that has the splines. It appears that if you don't do this, you take the chance of damaging the seal.
