Heading to check out all the ideas you guys have thrown out since last night. Two more pieces to the puzzle: 1. AMP Gauge showed good charge right before it quit, tested the battery last week as good; 2. when i press the reset button on the circuit breaker on the back of the motor the amp gauge pegs at -40. Of the 3 wires that come off of the ignition switch the orange one that has an inline fuze goes to nowhere. Is that supposed to be connected to the ignition lead on the tachometer?
Orange wire from the ignition switch on my boat feeds back to the battery through the engine harness.
