For flighhighordie getting the boat off the trailer in the garage was quite the task. the biggest thing was making sure we had enough clearance to walk around the boat and to get the door to close. But once the back of the boat was sitting on the 6x6's then the rest was pretty easy. then it was just jack up the front and move the trailer 6 inches at a time. However for he skid question I too stapled mine however the staple were only to make sure the ends weren't flopping around. I also cut 45 degree angles on the back ends to make sure it didn't or couldn't make any marks on the bottom of the boat during the loading process.
