My enclosed trailer tires are the same age, conditions (they sit next to each other in the driveway!), and subject to more abuse but didnt crack at all (yet)
I did just get bigger Nitto Terra Grapplers... 295/70/17.
Pro-rating can be a can of worms
Some tires are clearly better than others for withstanding the elements.
