Lower your trailer tonge as much as possible. Build two tiers or supports under the rear of the boat, as near the hull as possible. Raise the tongue to lower the rear of the trailer, leaving a working space between the trailer and the hull / fitting. Re-fit / seal the fitting...

Yes / no / maybe? Worth a try??? Typically get good results on a single axle trailer. Dual axle results may vary. That being... I'd build a platform, jack up the rear of the boat and scotch it off while working in the open space between the trailer and hull....
