VERY simplistic explanation: Lower the trailer tongue as low as it'll go. Block up the back. Raise trailer, which lifts stern off trailer and onto blocks. Use floor jack and blocks to get bow of trailer. Carefully walk trailer out.
Sounds easy but took me +3hrs(?) because of all the cross members on the trailer. Definitely something you'll want to take your time with and be very cautious.
Kudos out to you have the cahonies to do that. I need to work on my trailer but not sure if I am up for that. What did you rest the boat on? Just pieces of 4x4 and some sort of padding?
