The stone is actually concrete that is shaped and colored and looks like stone but much cheaper. This is coming from a wholesale place in Hartville but I have seen it at Menards as well as Home Depot and Lowes.
They place it on the foundation then they will mortar in-between the joints. This same stone will go up the chimney both out side and inside the greatroom.
The specific name of the stone is Dutch Quality Stone.
