yep, I took the plunge, and glad I did.... and just before I did, I found a couple of apps that create a backup list of the apps I had downloaded through the Apple store and through Cydia, and saved it to a text file and emailed to myself. sure came in handy when reinstalling apps through Apple & Cydia... plus, it let me weed out the apps I didn't want to reinstall.
I got to iOS6.1.1, but I just took the long way
but, didn't lose a single thing in the process... even all my old apps kept their settings when I reinstalled them
