My 1998 SportStar's platform. Here's my process...

Step 1: Sand with 80 grit.
Step 2: Sand with 150 grit.
Step 3: Blow all dust off with leaf blower.
Step 4: First coat of teak oil.
Step 5: Second coat of teak oil.

I'm very pleased with the results.
