I have the X-30 and the 5.7 pushes it around just fine with the ballast and all. However, if I could afford the engine and the gas, you better believe I would have the 8.1 in it lol

I'm with you on the mcx. I had it in a X45 that was lost in the flood in 2010. It was okay with stock prop unless I filled all the factory balladt and filled additional 2000lbs of ballast with 10 people then it would not get on plain but could have been reproped.
I wouldn't think that the mcx would really push the X9 over 43 to 45 even with a different prop. I'm sure we will get some more input on that as well. Just getting a feel as to how hard this boat may be to find. I've got a 190 with the 454 I might just get another X45 and keep the 190 for footin.
