Well, when I worked for Chris Craft, we put on the Yamaha outboards, which I loved. They were put on our fishing boat lines. Mercury also makes a very good saltwater engine. It is supposed to be slightly faster than the Yamaha as well. The Evinrude/Johnson/Suzuki motors, from what I have read are great engines and low maintenance. My neighbor has a Johnson and I believe the only difference between that and the suzuki is the cowling. I think that whatever you decide to go with will be a good choice, as the four stroke engines have really come a long way.
