No, it was bent. We were trying to use a handle off of the boom with someone who had never done that before. So, it was bent the first time we tried it and it was damn scary when it happened. I was driving and was not sure what all had broken when the boom recoiled.

Actually, now it seems to work a little better as the handle is more level now for people out on the boom. We now call it the 'articulated' boom.
