Since you are having all the problems with the paddle wheel have you considered going to gps? I love having the GPS speed instead of the norm speedo. 2 birds.........1 stone
The dash has plugs around the back by the windshield. Once you pop these out you can pop the dash up enough to remove the screws off the brackets.
