The pump is a Johnson/ mayfair pump. You can just buy the cartridge motor rather than an entire new housing in order to save some cash and mounting issues. Can't recall if mine was 500gph from factory or 750, but I would go 750gph for sure. Most retailers stock the cartridge motor unit. Also possibly just spin the impellar by hand. My ballast pump(same style) wasnt working last year at the beginning. The impellar was just stuck. Spun it by hand and its worked like charm for sure since. Just a heads up. If you do add the new pump and u want to check it. Don't run it for long out of the housing with no water it will burn out quick.
