Thanks fellas for all the info. I might have to rethink things here with these poles. I don't like the idea of cutting off bits of the tabs on the pylon. I'll have to take a look at that and see if it can be removed and then make a shorter one so the original is still around.
I'll have to see what some googling turns up on the flite pipe. sounds like an interesting design.
