Question... if I pull the trailer out from under the boat and have if supported less evenly, would it be a bad idea to completely remove the rub rail? It needs to be replaced and I'd prefer to get the area underneath cleaned up while I'm doing gel repairs and sanding/buffing. My concern is that if I drill out all the rivets there might be some shifting between the top and bottom. I am going to pull the engine. Maybe doing that first would alleviate some of the pressure on the hull?
