While I was building I spent 6 months is a brand new condo with dark walnut colored hardwood flooring. January - June. It was an absolute nightmare keeping the floors from showing every little spot. (Kind of like keeping a black hull clean with none of the appreciation of cleaning a boat after a day on the water).

Hopefully the tile isn't that bad. The wood plank style tile I put in my breezeway that leads from the pool to the hall hides everything. But it is a lighter color than yours.
