Oil filter chain with a 1/2" drive. Never had a problem no matter how tight. It easily gripped to remove the fuel control cell on my last nautique, these things are a nightmare to slacken.

I noticed last night that my alternator wasn't charging too well. 12.7v measured at the battery (which is new this season) with the engine running around 2000rpm.
