Rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) removes Sharpie ink from all sorts of surfaces: glass, ceramic tile, rubbermaid bins, etc....

Funny. Same thing happened to me. I just cleaned up the old adhesive (crusty yellowish stuff) and stuck the bezel back on with a little silicone. Good as new.
