If its anything like the MCX, you have to loosen the alternator mounting bolts to release the tension. When you're ready to tighten it up with the new belt, wedge a breaker bar or something else...

So you're saying the perfect pass display is not reading correctly now either? If so, that's how mine is too, the temp sensor in the paddle wheel must have gone bad. I looked into this a while back...

Check the transmission cooler, in my 197 its the first thing after the raw water pump and there's a strainer in it, pull the water hoses off and see if you can clear out any debris.

2004 with mcx, like others, 43-44 max. Agree you'd probably need the 6L if you need more speed, but seems like most of the boats I see for sale have either the predator or MCX. Might be hard to find.

Flo n go is OK but you are right, the wheels are crap. I pulled the wheels off ours and strapped it to a dolly that can roll across anything. I must admit, I usually end up just using 5 gallon jugs...
