I would not be so happy if I were you. If you had water in your transmission fluid, enough to cause a slip, you can expect a rebuild will be required sooner than later.

Have you unsnapped the top of the pump to test the float? My 2003 have a screen in it, perhaps yours doesn't and something is wedged. The top is just squeeze and pull up if it's like my 2003

Is this a carb boat? If so IMO you could have a float issue, not enough gas in bowl and turning makes it worse. My old carbed boat used to do that until I reset the floats

I suspect a bad gauge for me. I've had gauge issues since last fall but due to weather here have hardly run the boat. I may have mmdc issues. For now the gauge is disconnected

I wish my alarm wouldn't go off. It gpes off with a perfectly good battery and charging system. I just unplugged the gauge
