I'd recommend that you first try to determine whether the gauges are going bad, or the MDC. If it's just the MDC, then that's an easy swap and you're back in business. If the gauges are bad, they...

Here's a picture of a new cable. I guess it does slide through the tube; I can't remember. What I do remember is that when I bought the boat from PO the steering was terrible. I put in a new cable...

Follow-up. I thought I was good to go with OE 3-wire, but not so much. I was getting a signal to the gauge but only a small needle movement. Not sure why it wouldn't work since it's supposed to...

I'm not the original owner, but I don't think it was ever messed with. You have to remove the rear seat back to even get to it. Not sure why there's a second filter, but I don't think the original...

If I recall correctly, that "support tube" will come with the new cable...it's all one piece. You'll be good to go with a new cable. Attach some rope or string to the old cable as you pull it up to...

I found an OE 3-wire on Ebay. Didn't want to mess with changing the wiring back there. Not many of these left; next one will be mechanical I'm sure.

Thanks, Jim; I'll give that a try. Yes, far more complicated than the one between the fuel pump and the throttle body.

Jeff, my sender was bad as well. I assume the bad sender made for a bad signal to the fuel gauge...and for whatever reason was causing the voltage gauge to read bad as well. You can see on the...

Remove in-line filter near tank?

2001 19Skier with 310 Predator. Boat has two fuel filters...one near fuel pump and another just outside the fuel tank. Probably a dumb question, but how do I remove the filter in the pictures...

We bought our '01 in 2007. In 2008 I had to replace the MDC box because I didn't know anything about "winterizing" it, and it was damaged by water from the speedo tubes. A couple of years later I...

Not sure about the best place to buy, but there are plenty out there and plenty of threads on here about biminis. I would recommend mounting it so that it will lie flat at the front edge of the...

Worth a look/try. I have not had a speedometer out, but the smaller gauges were completely sealed if I recall correctly...might have to "break into" the back of the instrument to get to the guts.

Thanks, Mike. I've changed the plugs, but it's been a few years. Cap, rotor, and wires are probably original. I'll pull the plugs and take a look.
