But 400 vs 800 is a pretty big difference.

The boat could have 1200-1300 hours or more depending on when the gauge conversion happened.

Foam in floor

I've owned an '83 and an '89. The '83 has foam in the floor and under the gunnels. I think the '89 had it under the floor only. I'm guessing MC put it under the floor through '90. Not sure what...

Yes, I raise and lower with the trailer/boat attached. It appears to be discontinued but it looks like you can find some NOS and/or used ones around.

Hitting Water Pump

Does your boat have the plastic alignment stops on the floor like those in the picture. If so, don't they hold the cover in a forward position away from the pump?

For the most part, I've only used kill lanyards on Jet skis. But now that we have grandkids and pets on our boats it's got me thinking. The fob reacts to 4" of water. Perhaps a fob on kids life...

I use the swimmers style and have it attached to the zipper pull on the ski vest. Once I'm up I pull it off. Works...
