ECT sensor location

Where on the engine is the ECT sensor? Will a standard ECT from an auto parts house work, or is it a marine specific part?

Vortec starts good cold. but floods when warm

I have a vortec mx. It starts fine when cold. But when it is warm, it seems to flood when I try to start it. I can start it with starting fluid but have to race the engine to get it to idle...

Finally got it fixed. I ordered a new solenoid. It had a tag on one post that said "use this connection if only one wire is used". So, I used that post. It was the wrong post. So I took it back off...

It usually happens when I am acclelerating normally, like you would pulling up a child skiing. I haven't tried slamming the throttle.

I have a 93 prostar w/ a 351 Indmar. I was having idling problems so I took ya'lls advice and got a used Holley 4160. WOW. It idles great. I have small kids so I can idle it at about 600 rpm in gear...

Took ya'lls advice and replaced old Holley with 4160, but now...

I was having idling problems. Ya'll told me to replace my old piece of crap holley on my '93 indmar prostar with a 4160. I got a used one and just got it on. It idled perfect. Just like a kitten....
