I'm not the original owner but it appeared to be the original sealant. I don't know that it was silicone. It was clear silicone like though. There are some clear, below the waterline, marine...

If you often open the compartment while standing on the fender of the trailer, offsetting the latch to one side is probably ideal vs. putting it dead center where Mastercraft puts it. I can reach...

These are good boats but they had several issues that were addressed by recalls and in later year models. All of the recalls are expired at this point except possibly the monoleaf trailer springs...

Mine definitely wasn't 5200 from the factory. It seemed to be clear silicone. Came off with no struggle at all. Obviously it wasn't the ideal choice since it was leaking pretty badly.

Aren't the various 3M Marine Adhesive/Sealants all polyurethanes with varying adhesiveness? Looks like sikaflex is a polyurathane too. Would it be essentially the same thing with less adhesiveness...

I just use a large syringe and change the volume in the reservoir every season, sometimes twice if I think about it. Most of your fluid volume is in there and it will eventually exchange with the...

I'll have to try harder to find a place that can test it.

Yes. I've bypassed it by connecting the purple wire to constant power and get the same rate of voltage drop as I do with the ignition...

I'm all about replacing it IF I was able to confirm that 3.29 amps is abnormal. Thus far not even DBElectrical has been able to tell me if that's normal or not.

My engine compartment is corrosion...

I borrowed a multimeter that could measure DC amperage. My alternator (exciter coil?) draws 3.29 amps. Is this way off? Or in the ballpark of normal?
