Alright, I took the advise on using the magnets...

Alright, I took the advise on using the magnets and it worked great! I got the holes drilled and just need to sand the gel coat around the holes a little before being ready to install the thru hulls.

Thanks for all the input. It looks like I had couple of flaws in my calculation. I used 4" for my radius instead of 2" as well as using the slurry weight instead of the dry weight.
