Very nice truck. I have a similar 2013 without as many toys on it. After owning a diesel you won't be happy with the mileage (don't believe the epa numbers), but overall I am very happy with mine.

I would stop at the Canadian side on the way down to register it. They recommend doing that for any expensive equipment you are taking down, like photography equipment, musical instruments, etc.

For the heater, I remove both hoses from the engine lay one in the bilge and blow into the other to clear it out. If you have a compressor, it makes it easier. Then leave the hoses off for the winter.
