No. Looks the exact same as my 97 LT-1, standard thread. While not reverse threaded they could easily be cross threaded as the brass fittings are not that strong. You have to hand start each end...

Mine did that when the steam tubes were clogged....

Mine did that when the steam tubes were clogged. Next time you start the motor and you see the temp go up quickly rev the motor out of gear and see if the temp drops.
