I believe it's a bad sensor. I had to replace my sensor in my port locker tank last year and when I disconnected it, it disappeared from the vdig screen. Not a major fix, easy to replace.

I believe what bent the strut a couple weeks...

I believe what bent the strut a couple weeks prior was a log I hit. So the service manager told me it was a combination of hitting the log, bending the strut, and eventually failure of the bearings....

I got them to fix up my cover. I saw they did do boats interior there, sorry I can't comment on the quality but may be a start. I'm sure they'd have some references.

I bought a sender couple months ago for a rear tank in a 2008 X2. I believe it was a 5".
I just checked the reciept and it list a part number as 150852.
