Well, can't you just have a really long power cord that's in a retractable reel, hanging from the ceiling? That way, the lift can drive around and the cord will still reach.

The oil cooler is supposed to be cleared frequently and that was recommended in the manual. I don't know if they gave up, but it's not done as often as it should.

If it's out of warranty, I would open the amp and look at the connections for the switch- it's possible that it has a bad solder joint or maybe, the switch just needs to be cleaned.
